A gen­tle warn­ing. Once you sit your body in the Le Cor­busier Chaise Longue (LC4), you may nev­er want to get up again. Because the padded leather and exposed met­al LC4 was designed with a very spe­cif­ic pur­pose – to ​“serve” our limbs by pro­vid­ing the ulti­mate in com­fort and good design. Or, in his own words, ​“The human-limb object is a docile ser­vant. A good ser­vant is dis­creet and self-effac­ing in order to leave his mas­ter free”.
