Saarinen Tulip dining, coffee and side tables
Many of you will already have seen our reproductions of Eero Saarinen's 'Tulip' range on the Iconic Interiors site. The Finnish designer Saarinen moved to the US to study, staying there after completing his studies in 1934. The Tulip chair was the first item of furniture in the 1950s Tulip range, designed at the peak of Saarinen's career, and was followed by a collection of dining tables, side tables and coffee tables. Minimalist and contemporary yet with some classic features, the name of the range comes from the slender stems and organic shapes that create each piece. His vision was to create a range that looked as though it had been designed from a single material and in a single form, as he was not a fan of the "sea of legs" created by existing pieces of furniture in the market that he thought cluttered the home.

Feather filled cushions and RAL colour frames for our Corbusier furniture
We visited the Milan furniture show a couple of years ago and I was very excited by the LC2 chairs I saw there. The chairs were a mix of vibrant colours. The chairs were upholstered in various coloured fabrics and the tubular metal frames were in some unusual colours. I had not seen such combinations used on the Corbusier furniture. Since the Milan show I have been very keen to add such pieces to our range.

Eames Lounge Chair
We've been selling the Eames Lounge chair from day one of setting up Iconic Interiors. This equates to 18 years experience of this classic chair. It's been quite a journey. As mentioned throughout our site Iconic Interiors is about the best quality furniture.
We do not differentiate between licensed pieces or reproduction - we prefer to build our reputation on selling the best. This is why we have now moved the manufacturing of these chairs over to our Italian factory. The quality is simply the best we have found. To demonstrate this I have had the Eames Lounge chair photographed today in our studio.

PK22 Chair in distressed antique leather
A customer emailed me the other day with a photograph of the PK 22 chair in a very distressed brown leather. The chair looked very aged and oozed character. Even though we do not, as yet, offer such a finish for the PK22 chair I've decided to use this as my latest in-house project.
