Based on an award-winning design, the Eames DSR ‘Eiffel’ Chair takes its ‘seat’ alongside the very best classic, designer furniture. This is all thanks to its innovative construction, which is a triumph of new manufacturing techniques developed by Ray and Charles Eames. Its bent-and-welded wire base stems from Charles Eames architectural skills and knowledge, whilst the double-skinned fibreglass seat was a new manufacturing technique that won the couple many awards.

The Eames DSR ‘Eiffel’ Chair is one of the Eames most recognisable and iconic designs. Ergonomically it is unsurpassed and this makes it an adaptable chair for all occasions and settings. The curves and waves of its hard-wearing fibreglass seat aren’t just for artistic pleasure: they are also designed for comfort and are uniquely manufactured to flow around the body.

Another revolutionary feature that ensures comfort is the inclusion of rubber buffers between the frame and the seat to act as a cushion, and rubber gliders on the four feet of the base. As well as absorbing weight, the gliders also prevent scratches and marks on floor surfaces.
