Iconic Interiors Ltd is managed by me (Mark Holdsworth), Penny Kingsworth and Klara Minotti. We all have a passion for beautifully designed modern furniture. We love anything to do with interiors and good design. This passion is evident in the quality of our products. We only work with suppliers who understand what makes a well crafted piece of furniture. We do not compete on price but on quality. As with all things, good furniture comes at a cost.

Iconic Interiors also employs the services of a small, dedicated team of staff to deal with customer enquiries, dispatching and other day-to-day business matters.

Mark Holdsworth (lover of designer furniture)

Mark our words, Mark Holdsworth knows about iconic furniture design. As the founder of Iconic Interiors, Holdsworth has spent nearly a decade researching, sourcing and recreating some of the most famous furniture designs in history.

His first design – a three-seater corner sofa provisionally titled ‘the Siena’ – offers five-cornered comfort and Iconic’s renowned designer style.

The Siena brings contemporary Italian design to the Iconic collection, with a shape that suits 21st century living. Its August 2012 debut is eagerly anticipated.

As a lover of creative, classic furniture, Holdsworth has brought together some of the world’s best-loved designer furniture under the Iconic Interiors umbrella.

Hailing from Hull, a city famed for its artistic heritage, Holdsworth has been interested in design from a young age. His love of photography, graphic design, architecture, website design and (of course) furniture design led him to study varied artistic disciplines at university, where he became increasingly interested in mid-century modern design.

Following academic study, Holdsworth’s eye for aesthetics soon won him work as a web designer, where he created the front-end of company websites.

In 2003, Holdsworth set up Iconic Interiors to further explore his love of classic furniture. His passion for mid-century modern architecture and design led him to choose Mies Van Der Rohe’s Barcelona Chair as a signature piece for Iconic’s first collection. He also recreated pieces by Charles and Ray Eames, Le Corbusier and a host of other celebrated furniture designers known for timeless creations.

Iconic Interiors quickly became a successful enterprise, and Holdsworth sourced more designs. He paid attention to every aspect of the recreation process, from drawing board to upholstery and wood-turning, ensuring the most authentic, high-quality reproductions.

After nearly a decade working intimately with furniture creation, Holdsworth became increasingly involved in the design process. A trip to Italy inspired him to create his own version of the beautiful Italian corner sofas that are popular in this part of Europe.

With the help of the same craftsmen that brought to life many of Iconic’s classic designs, Holdsworth has created a three-seater corner sofa that brings Italian beauty to British shores.

Provisionally titled ‘the Siena’, after the Italian city where the original design was dreamed up, the new three-seater corner sofa will be available from August 2012.

Penny Kingsworth (she loves interiors)

I share a passion with Mark for well designed furniture. My background is in interior design which lends itself very well to working for Iconic Interiors. This interior design experience has great benefits for our customers as I can often provide guidance on furniture choices and overall interior design decisions.

Klara Minotti (furniture design is her passion)

I joined Iconic Interiors Ltd in 2007 having gained a degree in Furniture Design. As with Mark I share a passion for beautifully designed furniture. It is the intention of Iconic Interiors Ltd to nurture home-grown furniture design talent. My key role therefore is to develop this side of the business. Over the coming months Iconic is to be approaching Furniture Design Colleges in a bid to find the next Mies Van Der Rohe or Eero Aarnio. We have excellent connections in the furniture industry and we can offer new talent the opportunity to showcase their furniture designs. Watch this space as they say!
